The current crisis in Ukraine has impacted our rug supply. However, whilst working under extreme circumstances, Olga our incredible maker wishes to continue creating our designs when she can ‘we feel life is normal when we make our rugs, its what we do’

An incredible rug of intense blocks of colour in a classic key design with a brushed shag finish. Inspired by the modernist movement, the rug is a graphic interpretation with timeless qualities of which you will never tire. A smoother boucle weave texture can be found on the flip side and provides a sharper view of the design. We commissioned these rugs for the store and collaborated on the colours and design, the rugs are exclusive to us. Natural dyes are used to give the most intense pure colour, washed in the the icy rivers to soften the fibre before and after the wool is woven. A Lizhnyk is a stunning hand loomed rug made from the wool of sheep raised in the Carpathian high mountain pastures of the Ukraine. The Hutsul people believe the blankets carry healing properties, either way it will give you years of pleasure on the floor, bed or hang on the wall.

The nature of hand made means the edges may not be totally symmetrical, however if some weight is depressed on the area this should flatten out. We advice placing the rug over a non slip rug or cut carpet to give more substance and added safety on polished flooring.

Spot clean with soapy water or for full clean please dry clean (ideally chemical free) Brush up when required using a hair brush.
